Why choose this class?
Expert Teacher: Carmel trained in London with highly acclaimed experts including Pregnancy Yoga Guru Janet Balasksa and famous French Obstetrician, Dr. Michel Odent. Running pregnancy yoga classes for more than ten years, Carmel has taught hundreds of women.
I have never done yoga before, can I still come to this class?
Suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to advanced: Many women who come to pregnancy yoga have done little or no yoga before. Size, shape, and level of fitness do not matter here. Most women find they easily manage all the exercises. Clear guidance is given and strict safety protocols are followed.
Any other benefits besides physical health and fitness?
Mental training and emotional support: With gentle yoga, mindfulness, visualisation and breathing exercises, we train you both physically and mentally to make pregnancy and birth easier and more enjoyable.
What if I have a special situation or a medical condition, can I still do pregnancy yoga?
Yes, but get Doc’s permission: YogaMums classes are suitable for most pregnant women. The teacher is trained to work around special situations including many medical conditions. However, women who fall into high-risk category should check with their doctor before taking this class.
When can I start? How long can I attend?From 14 to 40 weeks: You can start any time after your 14th week and continue for as long as you like. The more classes you attend the more benefits you will get. Many women take this class weekly throughout their whole pregnancy to get the full benefits. It’s never too late to join, even in your last weeks of pregnancy.
What do I need to wear or bring for class?
Loose comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, and a small blanket: Yoga mats are available in most sports shops and also in some high street stores such as TK Max, Argos, Tesco, and Heatons. A small fleece, wool or cotton blanket. Dress in loose comfortable clothing with a warm jumper for the relaxation at the end of class.
How much do the classes cost? Can I pay as I go?
A pay-as-you-go option is available: but that’s the most expensive way to attend and you have to check every week to see if there’s space in the class. Most women book a block of classes to reserve their place. The 6 class flexi-pass package allows you the flexibility to take some weeks off. When your classes are all used up you simply purchase a new block of classes.

* We are currently looking for a new venue for our Bray class, meanwhile our Bray students are coming to Greystones, it’s just 15 minutes drive and there is plenty of free parking at both venues. It will be possible to change to the Bray class once it gets going. See below for class times and booking.
Book your first class below by clicking the ‘sign up’ link next to your chosen class and start date. If the ‘sign up’ link doesn’t appear it means that class is currently booked out. You can purchase a six-class pass after you’ve had a chance to try it out. You will be re-directed to the secure PayPal gateway. You can pay using any debit or credit card. Just look for the ‘pay with card’ option. (note: some phones have problems with PayPal – try computer). You will receive an immediate confirmation with all details.
