What We Don’t Cover:
While we focus on preparing you for childbirth, we don’t delve into baby care in this workshop. Rest assured, your hospital or homebirth midwife will provide comprehensive guidance in this area. However, we’re here to connect you with resources for additional support, including public clinics, community organisations, and private postnatal doulas/midwives in your local area.
Why Choose Our Workshop:
Our workshop is taught by a professional active birth antenatal teacher and a practicing midwife. You get all the tools you need to navigate the birthing landscape in different environments, be it in a busy hospital or at home, with ease and confidence. Your birthing partner (this can be your partner, sister, mother, friend, whoever will be with you during labour), will be trained in how to best support you to ease the journey and contribute to the best outcome for mother and baby. A study published in the Cochrane Review in 2013 shows that interactive birth preparation classes significantly increase the likelihood of couples using the tools and techniques learned during childbirth. Couples who actively engage in learning and practicing are better prepared and more confident when the big day arrives.
