This class promotes optimum health for you and your baby and prepares you for birth.  Strengthening, toning and stretching areas of your body needed to support your growing baby and facilitate a gentler, more enjoyable birth experience.  You will also learn useful breathing techniques for general relaxation and for labour.  Better health, better sleep, more energy and a chance to meet new friends.

You can join the class any time after your 14th week. Numbers are limited in each class so that much individual attention can be given to each mother.

Carmel O’Dwyer is a very experienced pregnancy yoga teacher so you know you and your baby are in safe hands.  Carmel has been practicing yoga for seventeen years and teaching for twelve.   After completing a three-year diploma course with the Irish Yoga Association she went on to train with many international yoga teachers.  Carmel specialises in pre and post natal yoga, she holds a professional qualification from the Active Birth Centre in London where she has been privileged to study with Janet Balaskas, pioneer of yoga for pregnancy in the west and with famous French Obstetrician, Dr Michel Odent.

Carmel’s personal experience of childbirth includes a medically managed hospital birth, a natural hospital birth and a beautiful natural homebirth. Drawing from her many years of teaching and her training with some of the world’s most renowned experts in the fields of yoga and birth, Carmel provides you with the tools and guidance you need to enjoy a healthy pregnancy and a good birth.
